Women are particularly excellent horror creators.
We've been through a lot and know how to face the darkness.

About Ashe
HOW TO SAY MY NAME, say my name, say my name
Repeat after me...
Eh... (like a true Canadian, which I am). Then "ShUH" (as in Geisha or eccinacea). Eh-shuh.
Meh, you need a little practice, but you'll get there.
With my girl, Spooky Susan, I host The Spooky Scholars Podcast where I talk about the macabre and other weird and spooky things. You'll get right away what my brand of horror is: weird, campy, lots of puppets, and stocked with meaning.
My favourite book of all time is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but I love horror and fantasy of all types, most especially though, Young Adult. I like to think I'm a 'young adult' at heart, even though I'm a little (ahem) older...
I also write YA HORROR and I have published a few things you can see over there>>>.
My main infuences for writing are The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, The Craft and everything Elvira. So if you like that stuff too, you'll like my books too.
I live in Ontario, Canada with my loveable husband and my ESP (emotional support pets - Moss & Dahlia the pups, and Opal & Violet my chubby skinny pigs).
I just released my first novella, A Cemetery for Zooey and my first novel, Blackrock High: Into the Night is available now and the first of a series of 3.
Grab your copies at the links and, until they arrive, enjoy some of my shorter non-fiction at my Substack page called Horror Helpline to curb your cravings...
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to meet you soon to chat about spooky stories!
